As someone who has assisted in filing over 1,000 claim for financial benefits from Dept. of Veterans Affairs and uses VA's data in my teaching efforts, I know what the average veterans doesn't know. Currently less than 50% of eligible veterans and less than 25% eligible widow(or)s receive the benefits they could because they simply don't know what they are.
